Tech Consultants earn
$20.00 per 15 minutes!
We value quality Tech Consultants, and we pay them accordingly!
Our customers are billed for technical support in 15 minute increments,
so we pay our Tech Consultants on the same basis.
Tech Consultants work
via telephone from their own homes or offices.
All 401(k) Easy Tech Consultants' work is done over the phone.
No traveling is required.
As an off-site Tech Consultant,
you can set up anywhere you like so long as when you contact
401(k) Easy customers the conversation can be conducted in a
business-like manner (no excessive or inappropriate background
noise, cell phone interference, etc.) and you have the materials
at hand (requisite PC setup, 401(k)
Easy User's Guide, etc.) that you need to answer the customer's
questions.
Tech Consultants set their
own hours.
We contact you regarding a 401(k) Easy customer needing help,
assign the tech call to you, then you contact the customer. Customers
sometimes specify a "best time to reach me" but other
than that you can contact the customer at whatever time during
normal business hours that is most convenient for you within
the ensuing 24 hour period.
We can assign a technical support
case to you via e-mail, phone, pager or cell phone, whichever
best suits your needs. As a 401(k) Easy Tech Consultant, you
never have to sit chained to your desk waiting for our calls!
We do require, however, that you be easily reachable at the times
you've told us you'd be available and that when you contact our
customers you do so in a professional, timely manner and from
a location that in no way inhibits your providing the service
contracted for.
No extensive 401k experience
required.
Being a 401(k) Easy Technical Support Consultant does not require
extensive 401k knowledge or experience. Tech Consultants do,
however, need a basic understanding of the 401k plan administration
cycle -- an understanding that can largely be acquired by working
with our 401(k) Easy User's Guide and software.
Tech Support Consultants of course
need to demonstrate a mastery of using 401(k) Easy. If accepted
into the Program, we will supply you with a list of common technical
issues and their solutions and supply you with a User's Guide
before asking you to show us what you can do. In addition, Off-site
Tech Consultants always have access to our in-house technical
staff for help with any issue.
If you're
good at explaining things to people and helping them through
procedural tasks, if you have a good phone demeanor, and if you
like to work out of your own home or office, you'll likely make
a good 401(k) Easy Off-site Tech Support Consultant. Try

helping them use their 401(k) Easy software and companion materials
effectively. Tech Support Consultants are NEVER asked to sell
anything.
Tech Consultants help
customers with using the 401(k) Easy software and companion materials.
The software is very easy to use (try it out for yourself!); it comes with
its own guided tour as well as a very well-written User's Guide.
We went to great lengths to create an extremely user-friendly
program designed for the layperson that addresses all small business
401k needs.
Often the answers to peoples'
questions are right in the User's Guide. Our Tech Support Consultants
need to become very familiar with our 401(k) Easy User's Guide,
be able to locate and comprehend needed information quickly and
easily and be able to lead the caller through the correct procedure.
Comfort and familiarity with using computer software and an aptitude
especially for administrative-type programs are beneficial.
Tech Consultants need a PC running Windows 95 or
later, a modem -- and 401(k) Easy!
We supply all our Tech Support Consultants with a master copy
of 401(k) Easy and all its companion materials. The 401(k) Easy
plan administration software can be run on any PC system using
Windows NT, 95, or 98 (preferably Windows 95 or 98). Our primary
communication route with our Consultants is via e-mail; we require
that all Consultants have an e-mail account that they are willing
to check daily for messages from us.
